INSTRUCTIONS
HAND-CRAFTED PERSONAL CARE
Because our body & skincare products hand-made in small batches with 100% natural ingredients ~ the product color, texture, & shelf-life may vary slightly. You may even notice or feel little "beads" that have formed. This happens with chocolate too! All you need to do is hold the product against your skin for a few seconds, and it'll soften right up.
As with most of our products, a little goes a long way. However, please use, check & replace your products regularly, so they don't go rancid. Shelf life will average 12-24 months when stored away from heat & light. Possibly longer when stored in the cold/fridge.
WHY MIGHT SOME OF OUR PRODUCTS MELT OR SEPARATE?
In very warm conditions, your product may melt, separate, deflate, and not be as pretty as when it's freshly mixed & whipped. We know that's not super fun (It's happened to us too!). But like chocolate, melting in hot conditions is an industry-wide issue that is difficult to prevent.
Also, similar to non-hydrogenated peanut butter, some of our product's ingredients can separate in very warm temperatures.
Our whipped products may even "deflate" due to the tiny air bubbles popping, which can make the jar look less full. But rest assured, there is still the same amount of product in your container, and it will last just as long as if it hadn't deflated.
If your product melts, it will likely look different than you thought it would. But this does NOT affect quality or performance in any way.
Instructions if melting or freezing happens:
MELTING ~ If your item is in one of our spill-proof glass jars, you can shake it before opening, to mix the ingredients that may have separated. Then simply put it in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes to thicken, & stir or whip back up to use!
FREEZING ~ In very cold conditions, your product may become thick/hard as well. This is easily remedied by putting your product on a heating pad (low to medium heat) or in front of a heater for a few minutes to soften. If it gets "too" soft, follow the instructions above for melting.
ALL PRODUCTS:
DO NOT LET WATER GET IN YOUR JARS! We don't use toxic chemical preservatives, so any water that gets into your jar will cause it to be a breeding ground for mold & bacteria (ie: nasty fuzzies).
We are not responsible if this happens, because no water is used in manufacturing/production in our facility. If you do accidentally get water in the jar, leave the lid off and let it dry out. If your product shows signs of mold, please throw it away & purchase a new one.
TOOTHPASTE: Scoop a small pea size out of the jar with a toothpick, small scoop, or (what WE do) the back tip of your toothbrush, behind the bristles.
Using water is optional, but REMEMBER, do NOT get water in the jar! Our toothpaste is great for traveling & on-the-go (Think after dinner at restaurants or scooping a small amount out for an instant "breath freshener").
Spit into trash (optimal), sink, or disposable cup. If using the sink, rinse with HOT water & wipe out any residue to prevent clogs.
DEODORANT: Scoop a small pea size (or less) out of the jar with a toothpick, small scoop or popsicle stick, or (what WE do) the back of your fingernail.
Massage into the area you want deodorant protection.
If you feel little "beads" or if it feels too thick to spread due to cold weather, simply hold on your skin for about a few seconds before spreading.
MOISTURIZERS: For butters, creams, & balms that are in jars (non-pump), use a small scoop/spoon, or your finger, to remove a tiny bit out, then massage where desired.
If it is kept in a warm area, it may melt, separate, & sometimes deflate. This can also happen during shipping in hot weather.
IF this happens - all is well! Your product is NOT ruined. Simply put it in the fridge for a few minutes prior to opening, especially during the summer months, so it doesn't spill when you open it. After it's cool but still soft, stir it back up with a toothpick, craft stick, or the skinny handle of a utensil.
SCRUBS & EXFOLIATORS: Use a small scoop/spoon or your finger to take out the desired amount. Gently spread on area to be exfoliated, then rinse with warm water or wipe off with a soft cloth. Massage any leftover moisturizer from the oils into your skin for added softness & protection.
Use both the coarser scrubs & finer exfoliators with gentleness, so skin irritation doesn't occur. Do not use on broken skin.
LIP BALMS: The wax they contain not only helps your skin stay hydrated, but it ALSO keeps it from melting easily, so it should be just fine in your pocket, purse, or even car. But do not leave in very hot locations, or it may melt.
CAUTION:
As is generally known with ALL personal & household care products, if irritation or sensitivity occurs, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children. Oral care products are considered safe but are not recommended for swallowing. Please use your best judgment. Pregnant & nursing women, please use caution & consult your health care provider before use.
If you have an allergic reaction to any of our products, stop use immediately. We use pure & safe ingredients, & most people use our products just fine. However, as a safety precaution, and due to the growing number of compromised immune systems from unhealthy guts, we cannot guarantee that all people will be free of reaction from our products.
Our products are NOT intended to heal or cure any disease or health condition. They are ONLY intended for cleansing, beautifying, moisturizing, soothing, & supporting a healthy lifestyle.
